Happy Samhain or Halloween or however you celebrate. Have a marvelous holiday. For my Fannish Fifty 23 post, I'm sharing a trailer of one of my favorite classic flicks, Arsenic and Old Lace, starring Cary Grant. He portrays a bachelor author who has made a living writing about how antiquarian the idea of marriage is. Well, he falls in love and gets married anyway. On his wedding day, he goes to visit his two lovely aunties when he discovers that they're a couple of serial killers. And it's a screwball comedy! It's set at Halloween, which is perfect as Peter Lorre and Raymond Massey star as the Dr. Frankenstein and his monster type characters. It's become a Halloween staple for us.
