I read somewhere on the internet that Cobra Kai, the Karate Kid reboot, was good, so I checked it out of the library interloan system and will start it soon. A bit of nostalgia will soothe the soul.

I'm crafting a little bit every day. I came across a pillow cover pattern and completed it quickly. I needed a new pillow for my office chair. Crafting is helping with the yearly February blahs. I think this month we've had the most wintry weather of the season, but I also see more birds returning. We'll be doing the usual three-jacket shuffle before you know it, i.e, semi-warm, cold, coolish. 

Our girl Bridget, the German Shepherd dog is happy and relatively healthy except for having problems going up and down stairs. I've had to limit some of her exercise during the day due to all of her joint problems. I'm glad I didn't start the Librela our vet recommended due to the recent FDA letter released about the drug about adverse effects. We're considering acupuncture and chiropractic, but that will be tempered by our financial resources. I've had both in the past and they helped, and we've heard good things about both treatments for dogs.

We had a dog with artritis and the vet put him onto metacam. I'm dubious about that medication because a year later we lost him. He started having problems with his kidneys and having accidents in the house, but he was really slow at getting up because he had difficulty getting his back legs under him so it wasn't easy to tell if his accidents were due to him not getting outside in time, or if there was another problem. He became really sick so I looked into it more and discovered that metacam can cause problems with the kidneys. It was also quite hot that summer as we had the worst heatwave that we'd had in years, so that wouldn't have helped him, too.

Thanks for the info about that drug. I'll be sure to put it on the list of things to avoid. I'm so sorry for the loss of your sweet boy.
