Kippers, dogs, and such

I tried kippers for the first time this morning.They're the Crown Prince brand, and they were tasty on homemade no-knead bread with cream cheese. Besides the fact that I like fish, I bought them due to their shelf stability. I also tried powdered cream cheese. I know it sounds terrible, but it wasn't bad at all. My grandma used to have fish and tomatoes for breakfast, and I wanted to give it a try, except I forgot that I ate the tomato earlier in the week. That's a great excuse to buy more. 

Bridget is having her cyst removal surgery on Tuesday. I hope all goes well. The vet told me last year that changing food to a skin and coat formula might help, which I did. Now, she's saying I need to bathe her more. Of course I'll do that, but from research, this may just be a thing we need to live with.

I've had a word search published in a small newsletter from Heathen Women United.Their website is being revamped, so the newsletter is only available through a private Facebook group. But you can play the word search online here. It was fun to create, and they asked me to contribute more, which I plan on doing. I may try my hand at a crossword if I find a free program that will generate a puzzle from my input and has the appropriate license for publishing.

I remember kippers from my childhood. Fondly, but as rather salty.

I do hope all goes well with Bridget's surgery. Poor doggie.

Glad to hear about heathen women's group. My source of info regarding heathenry on Assbook said there was almost no activity these days; yay, he was wrong! And congrats on the publication :-)

Thank you. I wouldn't call it a working group but more of a reaction to brosatruar on the internet, but I'm not a long-time member, so I may be off on that.
