Kippers, dogs, and such
Feb. 25th, 2024 09:17 pmI tried kippers for the first time this morning.They're the Crown Prince brand, and they were tasty on homemade no-knead bread with cream cheese. Besides the fact that I like fish, I bought them due to their shelf stability. I also tried powdered cream cheese. I know it sounds terrible, but it wasn't bad at all. My grandma used to have fish and tomatoes for breakfast, and I wanted to give it a try, except I forgot that I ate the tomato earlier in the week. That's a great excuse to buy more.
Bridget is having her cyst removal surgery on Tuesday. I hope all goes well. The vet told me last year that changing food to a skin and coat formula might help, which I did. Now, she's saying I need to bathe her more. Of course I'll do that, but from research, this may just be a thing we need to live with.
I've had a word search published in a small newsletter from Heathen Women United.Their website is being revamped, so the newsletter is only available through a private Facebook group. But you can play the word search online here. It was fun to create, and they asked me to contribute more, which I plan on doing. I may try my hand at a crossword if I find a free program that will generate a puzzle from my input and has the appropriate license for publishing.
