I admit that my husband likes the British TV series more than I do.  But I love crafting, so several years ago I agreed to attempt to make him a replica of the incredibly long scarves that actor Tom Baker wore during the series in the 1970s. I finally finished it, but it was a long trek. These are old pics from around 2012. The first is the scarf I made for him. Please excuse the messy closet. The second is one I made for a vintage Winnie the Pooh teddy bear from the 1970s.

I'm an avid crocheter and have been doing that since the '70s. So knitting didn't come naturally to me even such an easy stitch as this. I'm glad I did it though. It was a fun project. He found info on the DrWhoScarf.com website that includes the history surrounding it as well as yarn and patterns tips.
