I made fruitcake today for us and stored it in brandy-soaked cheesecloth overwrapped in foil in the fridge. I'll make mom's nonalcoholic version next week. I'll store them for at least two weeks before slicing and eating. I haven't done that in years.
I still had plenty of work over the holiday thankfully. Transcription can be touch and go at the holidays, so I'm grateful for being busy.
