Fannish Fifty 1: Jeremy Brett as Sherlock Holmes

I hope your New Year is off to a good start. I've decided to take part in the Fannish Fifty Challenge to make 50 fannish posts in 2023. I plan on these being rather short posts. My first one is in honor of British actor Jeremy Brett who portrayed my favorite version of the famous fictional private detective Sherlock Holmes. It's a Granada Television production, and I came across the series in the '80s or '90s through a Detroit PBS channel. To me, no one else can compare, but what do you think? Who's your favorite Holmes? Basil Rathbone, Robert Downey, Jr., Benedict Cumberbach or someone else? Do tell.

I think the only sherlock holmes movies or shows I've ever watched were one with robert downey jr and something called young sherlock holmes. probably not the best specimens. actually the downey one was pretty entertaining, but I imagine not much like the holmes most people would expect.

I remember both of those. The Downey films were fun. I loved Young Sherlock Holmes in the '90s too.
